Creating an optimised mobile experience for the America Today webshop.

My Job

America Today has the ambition to boost their online sales on mobile devices. It was my responsibility to assist America Today in achieving this ambition and to find key improvement areas and to manage the project.

Process

After discussing about this topic with the business developers, we did an analysis on the google analytics numbers and made a business case of the potential of the project. Numbers were in our advantage so budget was acquired to start a project to optimise the mobile experience and thus conversion. We researched and analysed user videos, click-through patterns and usage analytics. In two-three workshops the designs and requirements were set. A project scope was discussed and the project was built in sprints using SCRUM.

The Result

The new America Today mobile webshop templates are live, enabling users to browse easily through the webshop. A new menu, filter function, add to cart sticky button and checkout are available. Conversion is showing signs of going up, but no final conclusions can yet be made at this time.
